This policy explains what the MOQ app ("the app", "we") stores and processes when a merchant installs it on their Shopify store, and the rights merchants have over that data. The app enforces minimum-order-quantity and related purchase limits on Shopify storefronts.

1. What we collect

• Store information — the store's myshopify.com domain and shop identifier, so rules can be attached to the right store.
• Rule configurations — the limits a merchant creates (types, thresholds, scopes, schedule dates, customer-facing message text) and the in-app metadata needed to run them (rule status, sync timestamps).
• Shop settings — small preferences such as the store's weight unit and whether the setup guide was dismissed.
• Administrative access tokens — the Shopify Admin API token created at install time, used only to manage the app's own metafields and product data the merchant configures through the app.
• Billing status — the merchant's subscription plan state, provided by Shopify's Billing API.

2. What we do NOT collect

The app does not collect, store, or process any end-customer (shopper) personal data. No customer names, addresses, emails, orders, or browsing behavior are stored by the app. Purchase-limit enforcement happens inside Shopify's own checkout infrastructure; the app evaluates rule configurations against cart contents at checkout time without retaining that data.

3. How data is used

Stored data is used solely to operate the app: enforcing the limits the merchant configured, rendering their configured messages on the storefront, and showing the merchant their rules and plan status in the app. We do not sell, rent, or share merchant data with third parties for advertising or any other purpose. Data is hosted on managed infrastructure (Railway) and is accessible only to the app developer for maintenance.

4. Data retention and deletion

When a merchant uninstalls the app, Shopify notifies us and all stored data for that store — rules, settings, and access tokens — is automatically erased. Merchants can also request immediate deletion at any time via the contact email below; we complete verified requests within 30 days. Shopify independently sends data-request and redaction webhooks for any customer-related obligations; because the app holds no customer data, those requests are acknowledged with no customer data to supply or erase.

5. Your rights

Merchants control their data. At any time you may: request a copy of the data we store for your store; request correction or deletion of that data; or uninstall the app, which triggers automatic deletion as described above. Residents of the EU/EEA, UK, and other jurisdictions with applicable privacy laws retain these rights regardless of where the app's infrastructure is located.

6. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Material changes that affect how stored data is used will be communicated to installed merchants before taking effect.
